Highlight Ride:

2008 Tokoroa Charity Forest Ride:

Here are the Ride results: FunRide08 Results.  Feel free to get in touch (027-614-3570) if something is not quite right.  The certificates have now been posted to those who requested them.

Check out the full photo gallery from the menu on the left,   but I have put a few in the gallery below.  You can get full resolution copies of any of these from the webmaster.

As always the ride took place the first Sunday in March 2008 (March 2nd).  We added another ride this year  - a 20km ride designed for families e.g. mum or dad and the kids.

The charity we were supporting this year was the Ronald McDonald Family Retreat.  This charity seeks to raise $830,000 to fund two houses on the shores of Lake Rotorua that will provide a free holiday destination for children and their families who have serious illness.  The charity is being strongly supported by Lions and we will donate ALL the profits from the ride to this charity.  We were also actively supported by McDonalds, Tokoroa in preparation for the ride - a special thanks to owners Angela & Tony Rawlings.

You can download the ride descriptions for the 2008 ride from the following: Ride Details 20km or  Ride Details 35km  or  Ride Details 75km  or RideDetails 100km.  Briefly, the 20 and 35 Km rides are flat while the 75 and 100 km rides contain the challenging Cashmore's hill - a 500m rise from the Waikato river along the old tram route.  It is not steep, but it does test stamina.  All rides use the Kinleith private roads through forests and land that is recent farm conversions from forestry.

Ride entry cost $30 pre-entry, $35 on the day.
Special price $10 for each accompanied child in the 20k ride ($15 on the day).
$2 extra (postage) for a certificate if you want one posted to you after the ride.

Note all downloaded documents are able to be read using Adobe reader (PDF format).  The reader is available free from the Adobe.com site.
