The Tokoroa collection for Braille in 2007 was held October 29th and the town fronted up with $5915 on the night with more still to come in.  This is not quite as good as last year's final final total of $6702.  The weather was fine and we had an even more magnificent level of support from the teachers and the pupils of Forest View High School and Tokoroa Intermediate.  For the first time for many years this increased support allowed us to reach every household in Tokoroa - a tremendous effort that is reflected in the result.

Every year  the 3 clubs combine to collect for the needs of the blind.  With much appreciated help from Tokoroa Intermediate and Forest view High schools we attempt to visit every house in Tokoroa.

The 2008 collection will again be organised by our 4 Lions clubs and we hope the people of Tokoroa will be as generous as they always have been in the past.
